About Melissa Ortiz
Melissa Ortiz is a former professional soccer player and Olympian turned broadcaster, analyst, on-camera host, entrepreneur, and social media influencer who has collaborated with brands such as Nike, Visa, BMW, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, La Liga, and many more. Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, to Colombian parents, she proudly embraces her Colombian-American heritage. Her soccer career includes representing the Colombian Women's National Team in the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup, Olympics, Copa America, and professional leagues in Iceland, the United States, and Colombia. After retiring in 2017, Melissa transitioned to a successful broadcasting career with Warner Bros Discovery as a sideline reporter and analyst on TNT for US Women’s and Men’s National Team matches, and hosts U.S. Soccer Stories on TruTV. She has also covered two FIFA World Cups with Fox Sports, earning a Webby Award. As an entrepreneur, Melissa co-founded Kickoff Coffee Co, a specialty coffee brand that donates 10% of its profits to soccer foundations promoting social justice and development. Driven by the motto "Inspire a Generation," Melissa is dedicated to empowering young girls, inspiring others, and being a role model for future generations.
